Staten Island SBDC holding Fall into Financing Small Business Lending event

The Staten Island Small Business Development Center (SBDC), hosted by the College of Staten Island, will host our inaugural Fall into Financing Small Business Lending Event on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. Sponsored by Empire State Bank, M&T Bank, Valley Bank, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. inside the Center for the Arts at CSI (Building 1P).

The event will feature local lenders available to answer your questions and provide information about their lending options. Whether you're an established business, a new business, or an aspiring entrepreneur, this will be a great opportunity to speak with various lenders at once.

Our sponsors will also take part in a panel discussion, What Do Lenders Look For In A Potential Client, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Recital Hall (also located in 1P). Panelists will share insights into the factors that can strengthen a borrower’s chances of securing financing and help business owners better prepare for the lending process.
