The SI SBDC was proud to present our client, Mark Adeniji, Veteran and owner of A Final Touch Construction, Inc. with the coveted NYSBDC Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year Award, yesterday at The College of Staten Island(CSI). Sonya Smith, State Director of the New York Small Business Development Center(NYSBDC) presented Mark with the award and an American Flag that had flown over the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Mark also received Recognition Awards from NYS Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis and Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo.
In addition to the team of the SI SBDC, in attendance were: Timothy Lynch, President, College of Staten Island; Robert Wallace, President of CSI Auxiliary Services Corporation and Interim Vice President for the Division of Economic Development & Community Partnerships; Sylvia Rivera, Economic Development Specialist, U.S. Small Business Administration; Lily Zafaranloo, Director of Community Affairs for Congresswoman Malliotakis's office; Laura Scazzafavo, Director, of Veteran Services, CSI; Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo and John Hoovert, Commander, Cespino-Russo American Legion Post and Michael Adeniji, Mark's proud Dad.
Mark served as a Marine Corps Veteran which included a tour in Iraq. He is retired from the NYPD and is a family man. As a result of Mark's successful business accomplishments, including overcoming obstacles through the challenging Covid Pandemic, and his activities in community services, Mark earned the SBA Award as Veteran Small Business Champion in Metro New York District in 2023.
