FPT School of Business Vietnam Visits Staten Island

The Staten Island Small Business Development Center in coordination with the College of Staten Island Center for Global Engagement welcomed the FPT School of Business & Technology from Hanoi, Vietnam July 23rd through July 25th.

This visit is part of the Business Study Tour coordinated by Winnie Brophy, Special Program Coordinator for the Center for Global Engagement.

Staten Island SBDC Director Dean Balsamini welcomed the group on Monday, July 23rd, by giving an overview of the Staten Island economy and small business community, as well as the important role the SBDC plays at the College of Staten Island.

Director Balsamini and Certified Senior Business Advisor George Telmany presented How to Grow Your Business which gave an overview of SBDC practices alongside the process and challenges entrepreneurs face as they reach new heights in New York.

The FPT visitors met with other presenters on technology, market research, and business ecosystem strategy. They also toured NYC with guided tours through the United Nations and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

On Wednesday, July 25th, Director Balsamini and Advisor Telmany met with the group again for an Entrepreneurship Panel Discussion. They also reviewed their New York experiences during the course of the trip and discussed CSI/FPT coordination for future engagement.
